How to Make Fear, Doubt, and

Whatever we try avoid in ourselves, guarantees it will come around
again, which is why the things we fear in life, and about ourselves,
always tend to reappear. Use the following new and higher self-knowledge
to make fear, doubt, and worry disappear...forever.
Negative states are created for the purpose within ourselves of
being changed into something else. Everything that happens within
us is all part of this beautiful process; transformation is the
great law of life. This means that whatever dark thoughts and feelings
we are willing to bring into the light of ourselves will be changed
by the light into which we bring it.
So instead of going along with the answers that you give yourself
for why you feel the anger, fear, stress or regrets that come as
they do -- instead of excuses, rationales, justifications for these
negative emotional states -- don't hide it, or from it; and don't
let any part of your mind convince you otherwise. Just simply see
it. If you don't explain yourself to yourself, then all that's left
is yourself and your awareness of it. You're not talking to yourself
anymore about what you see. There's just seeing.
Don't hide anymore. There is something beautiful that doesn't have
fear in it that wants to touch us. Its touch is what changes us.
We cannot change ourselves. All the ways in which we excuse these
dark parts are efforts on the part of the darkness to change itself,
to deal with it, to get around it. Stop trying to get around a negative
state. Bring the negative state into the light of your awareness,
and let that awareness do what it is intended to do, which is to
change it, to transform it.

HRN: As a Health Coach what do you specialize in??
I feel called to help others find hope, empowerment and compassion,
especially in the current climate of melting ice caps, species extinction,
political unrest, increasing incidence of food allergies, autoimmune
conditions, cancer, obesity and diabetes. Basically, I believe in
the power of community and love to move mountains and am not afraid
to dream what others might believe to be "an impossible dream."
In my heart I know that together we can make the world a kinder
and more sustainable place and feel called to do my part by being
the "wind beneath the wings" of others to support them
in their efforts to make a difference.
HRN: Are your clients and practice limited to Northern California?
I have clients all over the country and work with them via skype
HRN: What is a 8 day Sugar Detox and how does that help someone??
Sugar and the carbs/white foods that digest quickly into sugars
are very addictive substances. Many people don't realize how many
of these foods they eat on a daily basis. Others do have a good
idea because they feel better when they eat them, but they are unable
to stop consuming them. My 7 day system enables people to break
the cycle of sugar consumption in an easy and very support way.
Once their body breaks the sugar cycle, eating whole nutritious
foods becomes not only easy, but satisfying. The byproduct of getting
off the sugar roller coaster is better sleep, increased energy and
reduced belly fat.
HRN: What is your idea of relaxing?
Relaxing, that's a great question. I often talk to patients about
how to add fun and relaxation into their lives. Many people are
so busy, they've forgotten to have fun. I love the work of Brene
Brown. She speaks about having fun, but understanding that fun is
different for each individual. For example, playing Candy Land with
your child may be fun for the child but not for you. That's just
good parenting for you to play with your child. For me, how I relax
is reading, watching a good movie, or traveling. I love to travel
and explore new places as well as revisit my favorites.
HRN: What is Vibrant Health Fertility?
I see many patients who want to become pregnant and are just starting
or have been trying unsuccessfully. The most important thing for
a mama-to-be is to build a strong, balanced body that can grow a
baby. Starting with safe, high quality nutritional supplements is
essential. Detoxing the body and eating nutrient dense whole foods
is the foundation of Vibrant Health Fertility. Once the body is
balanced and healthy, then there is a better chance for growing
a healthy baby.
HRN: In health what can you use acupuncture for?
I often get the question, will acupuncture help x, y, or z condition?
And my answer is always yes. I explain that acupuncture is about
bringing balance to the body through adjusting the meridians, those
are the channels were the energy flows in the body. When the body
is in balance, health is restored. Some of the most common issues
I treat are anxiety and stress. Men often come in because of some
sort of physical injury and once that is better, they continue with
treatment because they feel more balanced and have less stress.
Acupuncture is also very good at helping mitigate any reproductive
issues, PMS, and menopause.
HRN: What types of things do you cover on your radio show?
On my radio show I cover topics that help people make change in
their lives. I have guests who specialize in all areas of health
and wellness and who have simple tips to offer listeners so they
can actually take something from the show and apply it to their
lives that day. I always share information that is simple, practical
and easy so that the listener can then integrate it into their every

Natural Tips for Surgery: The Body

Having surgery, whether elective or unexpected, can be a traumatic
experience but there are some natural things that you can do
on a body, mind and spirit level that may aid your healing process
and boost a positive outcome. Remember every body is different
and that positive emotions have been proven to boost the immune
system - so stay positive! To help your body always select the
ways and methods that feel right for you. Also remember herbs
are natural medicine and have to be treated with knowledge and
respect - so learn about the herbs you are going to take, before
you take them.
At least 2 weeks before surgery:
DO NOT TAKE these herbs/supplements which
thin the blood:
Garlic, Feverfew, Kava Kava, Gingko Biloba, Essential Fatty
Acids and Vitamin E
DO start a basic "before surgery"
vitamin/supplement regimen that includes:
||Activity that aid, help
|Multi vitamin/mineral complex
||general body support
|Acidolphilus (high potency)
||intestinal flora especially when taking
||fight free radicals and oxygenates tissue
|Amino Acid Complex that includes: L-Cystine,
|speeds wound healing
breaks down mucus, aids muscles
tissue repair, collagen formation
muscle wasting, tissue damage
|Grape Seed Extract or
|powerful antioxidant to fight free radicals
in the body
|Vitamin C (6,000-10,000 mgs.
daily) w/ bioflavinoids

almonds, pecans, vegetables, kale and herbal teas.
Nice To Use: Other Options for the Body
Massage, Acupressure, Reflexology: Relaxation, minimize stress,
flush out toxins
Keep up your basic "before surgery"

Recipe of the Month
Cooking Time: 40-50 minutes, 1-Soup Pot
2 cups lentils
2 tablespoons olive or grapeseed oil
1 medium onion (minced)
1 tablespoon of garlic (minced)
8 cups of water
3 stalks celery (diced)
2 carrots (diced)
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon maple syrup
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon cumin
1/8 teaspoon all spice
1/4 teaspoon red cayenne pepper
Soak lentils in cold water overnight. Drain lentils.
Heat the oil in a large soup pot. Add onions and garlic. Cook until
Add lentils and brown for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add water, celery, carrots, lemon juice, salt, pepper, maple syrup
and spices and bring to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer slowly about 45 minutes or until lentils
Remove bay leaf and serve hot.
FOR PUREED LENTIL SOUP: Follow basic recipe and after removing
bay leaf, strain lentils through a sieve. Return lentils back into
the soup pot and bring back to a boil. Remove from heat and serve
