Who is David Nassaney?
Dave has owned a gas station for over 44 years and found a new
calling in life since 1996 when his wife Charlene suffered a massive
stroke.Dave became a caregiver. After a two year grieving period
he realized that there are so many other caregivers out there that
were feeling lost, alone and in pain. To help support them his life's
journey took him to become Dave, The Caregivers Caregiver.
He wrote his first book, It's My Life Too! to teach caregivers
on how to take care of themselves FIRST. He believes that If they
dont learn this, they will likely suffer burnout and become

theory up since: 30% of Caregivers die before their loved ones

Throw Anxiety Off Your Back!

Allowing the rushed state of another person to push
you into an anxious state of mind is like letting the horse you're
about to ride convince you to wear the saddle!
A man who doesn't know his true identity does not
know that he doesn't really know. The fact that he is confused,
frightened and still searching for himself remains almost totally
unsuspected by him because he has unknowingly assumed a false identity.
This temporary, false self feels real because it is animated and
driven along by the man's reactions as he seeks himself. The fact
that this lower nature is driven does not mean it is alive. A bulldozer
rolls along too, but it cannot see or understand why it smashes
into things. It is a machine. So, in many ways, is the false self.
The false self is fueled by negative emotional reactions
which, in turn, are kept firing by habitual incorrect thinking.
The very existence of the false self depends on keeping you off
balance and looking in the wrong direction. Start seeing through
its games by learning to let go of all the familiar but self-abandoning
answers it wants you to believe in. Own your own life. Use the following
special exercise for Higher Self-Recovery.
For True Self-Command Just Stop, Look, and Listen
The internal crimes of the false self routinely go
on unchecked. This is why, if we ever want to arrest this inner
thief of real life, we must learn to STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN. This
inner-exercise for true self-command is guaranteed to shut down
the covert answers and operation of the false self.
The next time that you are feeling anxious - or afraid
or worried about a problem you are facing - before you do anything:
STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN.
Remember that the false self is never far away when
you are feeling bad. It knows that once it can get you running in
the direction of its choice, sheer momentum will do the rest of
its work. That is why you come to a STOP first. Dare to defy the
inner-shouts that are trying to spur you on. Don't give them any
authority. They are just noises; bad ones at that. Treat them as
Then LOOK. But be sure to look in the right direction.
This is critical. Look at what is talking to you, not where it is
pointing. This way you won't ever be fooled again and sent on another
wild goose chase. So take a real good look. If it is an anxious
or unhappy feeling that you are looking at, quietly determine from
your own understanding that no negative state is interested in ending
itself. This will help you to take the third and last step
Now LISTEN. If you have done the first two steps correctly,
you will soon witness the false self start having a fit. Let it
rage. That is all it can do. It has no power. Its only strength
was in your past ignorance of just how truly powerless it was. Just
remain right there, inwardly alert and attentive. Your work is done.
In the past you might have let these deceptive dark feelings guide
you, but now you see through their tricks. In time their roar will
dwindle to a whimper and then completely disappear.
You now know that for the first time in your life
you have won a true victory for yourself. At last you have deposited
something of true value in the most important bank of all - the
bank of your own understanding. And believe me, this account pays
interest of the Highest kind.
And what about that nagging personal problem? To your
great relief you will discover that it wasn't at all what the false
self was trying to make you believe. The problem you are left to
solve, assuming one still exists after this lying lower nature has
been thrown out, doesn't even resemble the fearsome giant that had
been stalking you earlier. The false self can throw terrifying shadows
but now you can cast Inner Light. There is no contest.

Keys to Weight Loss

To lose weight you need a strong commitment, the right attitude,
the right foods, the right exercise and you need to get rid of
STRESS! Here are some keys that will open the door to your weight
loss. By using these keys you can have permanent weight loss,
feel full of energy and be your ideal weight without diet or struggle.
1) Why Stress Causes Weight Gain - Four stress
based factors cause weight gain - nutritional, emotional, physical
and environmental. When dieting people usually work on the body
and forget about the mind. This contributes to why 97 out of 100
people who diet regain the weight back in less than a year. Stress
affects how we look, think and feel. The real cause of weight
gain is stress. You CAN manifest and maintain your weight loss
goal by reducing, eliminating and controlling stress, on all levels.
Here are the 4 types of stress and how they effect weight gain:

||Improper or inadequate foods and nutrients
||Body doesn't get balanced nutrients and/or food
is improperly processed.
||Eating for wrong reasons and/or
holding on to weight
||Body/Mind develops cravings, food dependency
||Not enough exercise or illness

in the body
||Outside and inside pollutants: water,
soil, air, bad food, OTC and pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines.

body processes and adds toxins to the body
2) Be Positive. You are what you think
is just as important as You are what you eat. Pioneering
efforts of Doctoral Clinical Hypnotherapist Candidate, Linda Mackenzie,
found that visualization, which can control stress, plays a major
role to permanent weight loss. The mind is so powerful!
Studies have shown that positive thought can actually boost the
immune and other body systems to work more efficiently. Using
the power of the mind to direct positive thought can and does
help weight loss. states Mackenzie, By combining positive
thought with visualization and using the 10 keys to weight
loss people can attack and control the 4 levels of stress
and attain permanent weight loss.
3) Dont Skip Meals - Eat Smaller Meals. Eat
smaller meals every 2-3 hours because it decreases the cortisone,
cholesterol and insulin levels in your body, which ultimately
decrease the fat storage in your body. When you skip a meal cortisone
levels rise and burn muscle tissue and not the fat that you need
to lose. The pancreas also secretes more insulin which actually
increases body fat. Eating frequent, smaller meals keeps insulin
and cortisone levels balanced, reduces cholesterol, burns more
fat and reduces fat storage in the body.
4) Choose the Right Foods. A low fat, vegetarian
diet comprised of vegetables, whole grains, legumes and fruits,
will slow down your digestion, absorb food better and steady blood
sugar levels in the body. This makes the body work more efficiently
and helps eliminate cravings. Eating mostly raw foods is also
good for the body. Our bodies need some fat to enable our immune
system, so a low fat diet better than a no fat diet. Limit dairy
products which are high in animal fats. Avoid sugar, salt, white
flour, white rice, artificial flavorings & coloring, food
preservatives, soda and partially hydrogenated oils (e.g. margarine,
vegetable shortening and salad oils) These oils have a negative
effect on our bodys cardiovascular, reproductive, metabolic,
and hormonal systems. These partially hydrogenated oils actually
change the size, number and composition of our fat cells. Replace
these hydrogenated oils with Omega 3 & GLA Fatty Acids such
as Flaxseed Oil, Olive Oil, Borage Oil, Wheat Germ Oil or Evening
Primrose Oil. These oils have body rejuvenating qualities and
increase your metabolism and decrease fluid retention.
5) Build Lean Muscle Tissue. Lean muscle tissue
burns 5X as many calories as other body tissue. If you start a
resistance training exercise program, such as weight lifting,
for 3 times a week, 30 minutes a day you will lose weight and
not have to reduce your calorie intake.
6) Drink Water. Drinking 3 quarts of water a day
suppresses your appetite, helps get rid of body toxins and allows
the liver to process more fat. Drinking 1 gallon of water a day
burns 300 calories which is equivalent to running 3 miles.
7) Fat Burning Vitamins, Supplements & Herbs.
There are many vitamins, supplements & herbs that help you
lose weight. Remember to check with your healthcare practitioner
to find the right ones for you. Here are a some to check out:
Super Green Foods: Blue-green algae, wheatgrass,
barleygrass increase the metabolism and raise energy levels. Kelp
can normalize thyroid metabolism.
Vitamins & Supplements: Start with the right
vitamins, preferably from a health food store so that they can
be digested and absorbed. Some of the over the counter vitamins
do not get past the liver into your system and are even found
only partially digested in your intestinal tract! L-Carnitine
is a fat burner; L-Glutamine helps to reduce cravings and builds
muscle tissue; L-Argnine is a muscle builder; 5HTP can aid weight
loss; Betaine Hydrochloride and Papaya Enzymes help digest proteins
(e.g., meat) faster; Chromium Picolinate helps to burn fat blood
sugar levels to help reduce cravings; Acidolphilus & Colon
Cleansers helps body elimination and detoxification to get the
body to run more efficiently; Citrimax is an appetite suppressant
and temporarily blocks the conversion of carbohydrates into fats.
Herbs: Many herbs such as kola nut, ginseng, astralgulus
and licorice root can help you lose weight. Peppermint tea aids
digestion and green tea is excellent for rejuvenation. Certain
aid weight loss. Ginger, cayenne pepper & mustard increases

8) Avoid Toxins. To get your body to run more efficiently
cut out caffeine & alcohol. Please note that tea has more
caffeine than coffee. Watch all drugs, even prescription drugs,
some side effects of medication is weight gain. Ask your druggist

9) Get Adequate Sleep & Treat Yourself. Adequate
sleep reduces stress and allows your body to store more energy
for the next day. Remember - be nice to yourself. You deserve

and aids many systems in the body.

Recipe of the Month
Cooking Time: 40-50 minutes, 1-Soup Pot
2 cups lentils
2 tablespoons olive or grapeseed oil
1 medium onion (minced)
1 tablespoon of garlic (minced)
8 cups of water
3 stalks celery (diced)
2 carrots (diced)
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon maple syrup
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon cumin
1/8 teaspoon all spice
1/4 teaspoon red cayenne pepper
Soak lentils in cold water overnight. Drain lentils.
Heat the oil in a large soup pot. Add onions and garlic. Cook until
Add lentils and brown for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add water, celery, carrots, lemon juice, salt, pepper, maple syrup
and spices and bring to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer slowly about 45 minutes or until lentils
Remove bay leaf and serve hot.
FOR PUREED LENTIL SOUP: Follow basic recipe and after removing
bay leaf, strain lentils through a sieve. Return lentils back into
the soup pot and bring back to a boil. Remove from heat and serve
