What Love Can Teach Us About Ourselves
by Guy Finley -
"Letting Go" Tuesdays, 6pm PT

All of our relationships, in particular the one we have with those we love, exist for a dual purpose, along with their great promise. First, most of us understand that our partner in life is there to help us grow, and to awaken and stir in us, accordingly, an awareness of love's highest possibilities. But the other - and equally important half of this same purpose and promise - without which the first part can't succeed - is as follows: our partner in life is also there to help us see everything in us that now stands in the way of our coming to realize this same higher love.

Find helpful insights in how to use these revelations in the following Q&A.

Question: It's not like he means it, but somehow my partner knows how to push the wrong button in me, and always at exactly the wrong time. It's as if he waits for me to say, "Yes," to something, so that then he can say, "No." So, while I'd really like to learn how to be more patient with him than I am, I don't have a clue where to begin. Any hints are greatly appreciated!
Answer: No doubt it's challenging to deal with anyone, let alone a loved one who contradicts us at every turn. But becoming impatient with his unconscious actions - and then blaming him for them - is like yelling at a toaster to stop burning your bread! The real solution to this, and to all similar situations rests within you, not with your partner. We can only bear some negative characteristic in someone else that we have learned to consciously bear in ourselves...which means none of us can be truly compassionate until we know what it means to suffer ourselves for the sake of something greater than ourselves: unconditional love.

Question: I like many of your ideas; most of them resonate with me as true. But honestly...it feels like you're asking for more than I'm able to give when it comes to letting go and letting love lead me through the trials that I face through almost every day with my partner. I want to believe in higher love - to be able to act with the kind of compassion you've called out here as not just our possibility, but our responsibility, as well. Please tell me how I can begin to see this power, so that I might build a greater trust in it.
Answer: We must not just "believe" in the power of love; billions profess this belief, and yet...billions still hurt one another in the name of love. We must learn to see - with our "new eyes" - that love is within and around us at all times. For instance, here's an example of something that's always been right before us, as a fact of life, but that has remained just out of sight (until today)! The love we have for anything holy, beautiful, or true is present in our heart before we can think of any reason for the love that we feel. The breathtaking light at sunset, that strain of delicate music, or watching a mother tenderly embrace her child: these moments don't create the love we feel for what we see before us; these moments reveal the presence, and the power of a love that already lives in us! Do take a moment to consider all that this insight implies: it isn't we who find things to love, but rather that Love finds - through us -a way to reach us, and to teach us that She lives in and through all things...including us.

by Linda Mackenzie, C.H.T., Ph.D. (c)

You have a vision to enlighten or help people, the planet, the Universe…What? You don't? Well, here's something you need to know. To be successful you better get out of your ego and just wanting power or money. We are all connected and here to be of service - and people today know the difference. In fact, the latest marketing trends and studies show that people want to buy and be associated with socially responsible companies. So, it's no longer all about the ego of 'ME' - It's about the 'WE'!

Insider Success Secret 1: Be of Service - Beyond Yourself.

I've had a rich full life filled with all modalities of business. I worked as a Datacom Engineer, International Sales Manager, Marketing Manager and that was before I owned the 1st used PC retail store in America, a data consulting company, a metaphysical wholesale catalog company and was President of a Dietary Supplement Manufacturing company. For the last 21 years I own HealthyLife.net All Positive Talk Radio a media company. All this while concurrently being a Psychic, radio host, author and lecturer. I have over 55 years of experience running all aspects of successful businesses.

One thing learned through my business experience, is you find that every job you have contributes something to the skills you need. The trick is to recognize and use the skills you learn. Remember doing the same thing in the same old way and getting the same result is the definition of insanity.

Hopefully this article gives you insight and new ideas to help your business soar. Why? Because when you are successful, we are all successful. Let's remember what constitutes a success can be different for everyone. However, in any business it's important to stay positive. This way you contribute positive energy to your business and collective consciousness, which helps the greater good of all. Plus it ultimately supports you and just by staying positive is being of service, beyond yourself.

Insider Success Secret 2: Commitment and Focus

COMMITMENT - This means you believe in your goal and have the dedication to do what it takes to achieve it. You totally feel, know and trust in your commitment. However committing to your business does not just come from the heart. Committing to your business is also a mental process, which means you learn about all the aspects of managing a business.

No matter what the type of business, there are six management principles needed to run that business successfully. What are they? Planning, organizing, directing, implementing, supervising and controlling. These are the nuts and bolts of managing your business. Learning about them, how they apply to your business and using them will not only set you up for success but put you ahead of your competition.

FOCUS - Focusing energy on your business is tantamount to success. If you have a flower in a garden and don't water it the result will be it will die. If you consider your business like that flower, then the water to grow your business would be your focused energy. Business takes energy and where you focus your energy is where you will get results. Your business requires mindfulness and focus of your energy every day to help it continually grow and flourish. Bottom line: if you're not committed and focused on your business, then find something else to do. You're wasting your most precious commodity which is - time.

Insider Success Secret 3: Overcome Negative Obstacles

The environment that a business resides in is never constant. There are always going to be negative obstacles in your way. There are two keys that I have found helpful to overcome negative obstacles, not only in your business, but in your life.

PERSEVERANCE - When something negative gets in your way, find a way over, under, around or through it. Don't give up or make excuses. Don't use negative words - I can't, I won't, I shouldn't, I couldn't. Persistence and Perseverance WILL make your business a success. Statistically more businesses are successful because of persistence and perseverance than because of money or magic.

OVERCOME FEAR - Make Fear your friend because in the end it teaches you how to be free. When you find fear, get rid of it as soon as you can. Denying it won't work. The more it stays around the bigger it gets. The only way to get through fear is to face it straight on and walk through it. Take a positive action. Don't hesitate. Find what to do and do it and fear will not have a chance to stop you.

I studied fear for may years and found the root of all fear comes from the fear of loss or the fear of death. That's it. Both reasons are insubstantial in the spiritual world. We come into and go out of this world with nothing except the love we give and receive. So, in essence we have - nothing to lose. I have been to the other side many times. Death is just a transition to another energy form and place. There is no death. So fear, in itself, has no real basis. Fear comes into our life to show us our next step in spiritual growth, or within context for this article - our business growth.

To overcome negative obstacles in your business welcome fear in as a friend, find out what it is trying to teach you and get rid of it as fast as you can.

Insider Success Secret 4: Good Business Ethics

The term ethics usually refers to the philosophical morals of right and wrong. However it is also any system or code of moral rules, principles, or values. We can assume that the first ethical ideas were probably passed down by word of mouth from elders and parents. In business I have found two good business ethics that matter for success.

TRUTH - You know what that is. That inner voice that nags you until you accept it. When you follow truth, you can't make a mistake. If you don't totally accept truth, it will be repeated over and over again until you get it right. Although not exactly in the same way because you have learned something new each time. The lessons continue until you finally accept the truth and then those lessons disappear forever.
On some level, no matter what, people feel, know and touch truth. When they touch Truth it resonates with them on an invisible level. This is an invisible reason why people are drawn to buy your products and services.

INTEGRITY - Is the quality or state of being of sound moral principle by being upright and using honesty and sincerity. Why do you want to use integrity in your business? Because people resonate to this frequency and buy from companies with integrity. Using truth and integrity will set your business up for success. So, make sure your business always walks its talk.

In conclusion, business success includes cultivating the right energy, at the right time, in the right place with the right people. Good business practices will help you set the correct energy framework to amplify the frequency of success in your business.

The HealthyLife.net Recipe of the Month

Chicken MacSoup

Cooking Time: 3-4 hours, 1-Soup Pot

1 3-4 lb. chicken, (cut into pieces)
8 cups cold water
1 medium onion (minced)
3-4 carrots (cut in 1" pieces)
2 stalks of celery (cut into 1" pieces)
3 medium potatoes (peeled and cut into 1" cubes)
1 tablespoon sea salt
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon sage
1/2 teaspoon rosemary
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/8 teaspoon coriander
2 bay leaves
1 cup frozen peas
1/2 cup basmati rice

In a large soup pot place chicken pieces, add water and bring to a rapid boil. Add onions, carrots, celery, potatoes and spices. Stir and bring back to a boil. Reduce heat to slow simmer. Cook 3-4 hours.

With slotted spoon, take out bones and chicken pieces from the soup and place in a bowl. Remove any bones from the chicken pieces. Cut the chicken into bite-size pieces and return chicken meat to the pot. Throw out bones. The last 1/2 hour of cooking add peas and rice. Option: Instead of rice, or in addition to rice, add 1/2 cup of quinoa pasta or quinoa or brown rice linguini broken into thirds to the soup mixture.

FOR CHICKEN BROTH: Omit rice and peas. Cook remaining ingredients 3-4 hours. Strain soup through a sieve and serve the broth or use the broth for cooking rice or in other recipes.
