To train professionals in evidence-based stress reduction methods such as meditation and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT acupressure tapping), in 2010 Church established EFT Universe, one of the most-visited alternative medicine sites on the web. He developed the EcoMeditation method to make meditation easy for novices. To promote research and humanitarian work, in 2007 Church established the National Institute for Integrative Healthcare (NIIH), a nonprofit institution aimed at promoting evidence-based healing modalities. He has worked with over a thousand clients suffering from chronic pain, measuring average symptom reductions of 68% (Church & Brooks, 2010). In 2008, NIIH initiated the Veterans Stress Solution, a pioneering project that connects veterans with PTSD to energy therapy practitioners. It has since provided free treatment to more than 22,000 veterans and their family members. Twice, Church has been invited to testify before US Congressional committees. His work has been referenced in many media outlets such as USA Today, CNN, BBC, the Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and Parenting. Churchs most recent research focuses on self-transcendent experiences, such as those found in deep meditation and flow states. fMRI research demonstrates that the EcoMeditation method he developed results in rapid brain remodeling, downregulating regions associated with suffering and increasing activity in brain areas linked to compassion and happiness.Though Church retired from active business management in 2023, he continues his journey in science and mysticism with blogs, studies, podcasts and books. The power of a lie is no greater than the darkness in which it is received. This means that all we need to do to see through the lies -- to render the darkness powerless -- is to bring that lie into the Light. This will defeat the lie's evil intention, for a lie's only intention is to cover up the truth. And a lie is left to do that very thing -- to fulfill its dark purpose -- every time we leave it unchallenged. We must learn to say "So What!" to anything that tells us we can't possibly get past any place in our life. This means that the Light has called us to it for its purposes, and we have chosen to fight on its side. Gradually, we learn that the darkness has no power unless it stops us and engages us in one of its lies. When we shed light on its lies, we begin to place ourselves in the hands of a beautiful principle in which the action that we take deepens our faith. The faith in turn strengthens our action, and we begin to climb. At this point, we are given the wherewithal to deal with any situation that comes our way. The authentic "So what!" attitude is not cynical or disdainful (as we so often hear it expressed). The "So what!" we're talking about involves seeing the truth of things that happen inside of us. When something in us raises its head and starts carrying on, trying to get our attention, we can remember that it doesn't matter what anything dark inside of us says. We can remember that the only voice that matters is God's voice. Learn, as best you can, wherever you may be in your spiritual life, to start paying attention to the voices inside of you. Awaken the awareness in you that is able to detect dark creatures telling lies. Then, consciously walk past the lies. "So what! I'm still going. I will not stop, and you will not drag me into your world. I am going to enter into the Kingdom of Light and your lies cannot stop me." Whether immature, or naive, or whether there's no understanding at all it makes no difference. This journey is made or lost with what is in the heart. Learn to let your heart answer those things in the darkness that want to hurt you. Do that and you will gradually find yourself making your way through the darkness and into the Kingdom of Light Guy Finley is an internationally renowned spiritual teacher and

Tips for Surgery: The Mind Having surgery, whether elective or unexpected, can be a traumatic experience but there are some natural things that you can do on a mind level that may aid your healing process and boost a better, positive outcome. Remember every body is different. Select the ways and methods that feel right for you. FOR THE MIND: Do remember that YOU are
responsible for your body - Before having surgery ask your doctor the right questions:
Why, How, What, When, Where; what - Get at least one or two other medical opinions prior to having surgery. - Tell your doctor about the medications, herbs and supplements you are taking. Most Western MDs are not familiar with alternative therapies, including herbs, but that does not mean they do not work. - Consult with your doctor to see if you can have less invasive
laparoscopic surgery for your procedure. - Ask questions and do not apologize for asking questions. Remember you're paying the Doctor. He is working with you as a partner, not as a Medical Deity or your boss. Make a list of your questions prior, during and after each meeting with your doctor so you don't forget them and ask them! - Be persistent and use caring assertiveness. - Participate as much as you can in your healing process. Do Deal with Your Emotions - Denial or "Numbness": Look to balance your mind and work on looking at the real picture until you work your way into acceptance. - Anger: acknowledge it, take an appropriate action (e.g., Punch a pillow, go into a room by yourself and scream, walk around the block, draw a picture) then let it go. - Sadness- Let it out and cry, get support from friends, loved ones or a support group, start and write a your own healing journal, do artwork therapy, write a letter to yourself. - Worry - is a useless emotion which accomplishes nothing and eats up your time. Time in which you can be doing something positive to help your healing process. When you get a "worry" thought acknowledge that you have it and let it go immediately. - Change your emotions to positive ones like hope, joy and happiness. - Make your Environment Happy. Bring your favorite personal pictures, paintings, music, flowers and plants, aromatherapy fragrances with you to the hospital or even spruce up your room at home. - Avoid negative people and situations. - Make a list of supportive people and groups in your life and use the list! Nice To Use: Aromatherapy Do Face Your Fears: - The only thing to fear is fear itself. You are in God's hands and will be all right - no matter what. Even if death occurs remember that it is not the end, but a transition. There is life on the other side, so you really never die you pass over to a better place. So reconcile with your fear of death. - You create your reality with your thoughts. So if you feel, know and trust that the outcome will be positive and that you will heal - YOU WILL. - Positive Energy resonates to a higher energetic frequency than negative. Positive energy that can make you feel good and help you face your fears can be activated by thought. The higher frequencies correlate with the upper chakras (esoteric electrical energy centers in the body) starting with the heart chakra and up to the crown chakra. To activate these centers -BUZZ. That's right just buzz like a bee. You will be surprised as to how this works. - Another helpful hint for fear is to BREATHE. Breathe in through the nose slowly and deeply and then breathe out with the mouth in a rhythmic pattern. This will immediately lower your pulse and heart rate and get you centered. Physically it activates the Vegas nerve which is the major quieting nerve in the body. The Vegas nerve starts at the base of the brain and branches out to the heart, lungs and intestinal track. By just breathing deeply it automatically quiets your body and centers you. - Remember fear is your friend, not an enemy. Society teaches us that fear should be avoided but you can reprogram your mind to make fear a friend. You can always learn something you fear and once you learn it the fear usually doesn't come back. - Remember there are 4 steps to managing fear and turning
it into a positive emotion: - Let go of your fear, ego, rigid goals, expectations, negative attitudes and negative feelings and replace them with to Living in the Moment, trust, hope, positive intention and attitudes and positive feelings. Nice To Use: Bach Flower

Oven Temperature: 350° F 2 cups wheat free flour Sift together flour blend, xantham gum, baking soda, salt and spices.
Cream butter with maple syrup using electric mixer on low-medium speed
until well blended. Add eggs. Using an electric mixer at medium speed
alternately add flour mix and applesauce to creamed butter-maple syrup
mixture, blend until smooth after each addition. Add vanilla and optional,
dates, raisins or chopped nuts. Vanilla Cloud Frosting 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons light organic corn syrup Place organic corn syrup in saucepan and bring to boil stirring constantly. Place egg whites in a bowl. With electric mixer at high speed beat egg whites until they hold up in stiff peaks. Add salt and vanilla.Continue beating at high speed while slowly pouring hot mixture into egg white mixture. Continue beating at high speed until frosting is fluffy and spreadable. Frost completely cooled cake.
